This year (2009) marked the 5th annual partnership with Jiffy Lube and the Boomer Esiason Foundation (BEF) for Cystic Fibrosis. Each year, Jiffy Lube locations in Utah donate proceeds from the sale of the Boomer’s Jiffy Lube Savings Playbook which includes coupons to save more than $100 on preventive vehicle maintenance services available at Jiffy Lube.

This year, as a thank you to the communities of Utah for their support, from September 10 – October 31, 2009 at any Utah Jiffy Lube location, customers had the chance to win a free trip for two to a 2009 professional football game and meet Boomer. Congratulations to Jiffy Lube customer Greg Quick for winning a trip to the New Orleans Saints vs. New England Patriots Monday Night Football game on November 30, 2009 in New Orleans.

The Boomer Esiason Foundation for Cystic Fibrosis (BEF)
In 1993, Boomer’s son, Gunnar, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a fatal genetic disorder. Gunnar now is 18 years old and is living a full life despite the disease. The Boomer Esiason Foundation is a dynamic partnership of leaders in the medical and business communities joining with a committed core of volunteers to heighten awareness, education and the quality of life for those affected by cystic fibrosis, while providing financial support to research aimed at finding a cure. More than 90% of the funds raised with BEF go directly to the cause.
